Our Story

The Alma Hotel & Lounge has been created out of a love and excitement for providing guests with lasting memories, delicious dining experiences and the very best in pampering guest service. This unique hotel is brought to you as the epitome of bohemian luxury, fabulously unconventional in its individuality and style, yet suitably refined when it comes to meeting your expectations. Alma is the sequel to a story that began long ago.  The walls in our hotel tell tales dating back to the 1920’s, when The White City of Tel Aviv was all abustle with an enthusiasm and passion for the new world architecture and Modern Movement that hailed from Europe.

Designed by architect Dov Tchendovski in 1925, our distinctive boutique hotel began as a private residence to six families living side by side during exciting times in the newly founded Tel Aviv. The eclectic architecture, together with the bohemian blend of the varied residents’ personalities, histories and styles, has allowed us to create an enchanting monument that reflects these diverse expressions through each of our individually conceived rooms and smoulderingly elegant lounge. The soul of this exquisite building has been passionately revived by tenderly weaving a rich and exotic interpretation of European tradition with a vibrant, contemporary & whimsical twist.
